Taking care of your legal duties, giving you the freedom & confidence to run your business & manage your staff

Employment Tribunals

Even when you have, or at least think you have, satisfied all your legal obligations, Employment Tribunals can prove to be a costly and confusing process for small businesses. A well-publicised case demonstrates that even with no intent, malice, or idea that they were doing wrong, employers can find themselves with awards made against them.

Open law book & judge's gavel

If you have recently been sent a copy of an appeal (an ET1 form) from one of your staff or someone else associated with the business, together with a form for you to respond (an ET3 form), don’t ignore it – a default judgement could be made in your absence – and don’t delay in dealing with your response, as you normally only have 28 days to submit your response to any appeal.

Don’t hesitate to contact the Employment Law Clinic, call us now on 020 3239 0569 or email tribunals@employmentlawclinic.com, and we’ll advice you on how to handle your case. (For tribunal claims, always ensure you use this mailbox, as these will be treated as a priority.)

The Employment Law Clinic can talk over your response with you; prepare & submit this on your behalf; represent your business in conciliation; and where attendance at a tribunal is ultimately necessary, present the case for you.

Even if a Tribunal is only mentioned as a possible future action in a current grievance procedure, early involvement of the Employment Law Clinic can help ensure you deal with the matters properly, which can save you money & stress in the longer-term.
